2021 Mercedes Benz GLA will be available in the U.S with the base price of $36,230. Which is $2,000 more than the previous model.
On the base model, the new GLA offers LED lighting units, 18-inch alloy wheels and power tailgate as standard. Buyers can get panoramic sunroof, AMG package, Night package and 19 or 20-inch wheels.
Inside the cabin the 2021 GLA benefits power front seats, front seat memory, dual-zone automatic climate control system, two 7-inch screens, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
As an extra cost option buyers can order larger screens with 10.25-inch wide, ambient lighting system, wireless charger, heated and ventilated front seats, wood trim, carbon structure trim, auto dining mirror and garage door opener.
Safety options include Active Distance Assist, Active Steering Assist, Active Emergency Stop Assist, Active Speed limit Assist, Active Lane Keeping Assist, Active Blind Spot Assist, Active Lane Change Assist and Active Brake Assist.
Mercedes GLA 250 uses a 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 221 hp and 350 NM of torque mated to an 8-speed DCT gearbox. The GLA 250 can hit 100 kph in 6.8 seconds and its top speed is electronically limited to 209 kph. While the GLA 250 is a front wheel drive car as standard, buyers can opt 4Matic AWD system with $2k. The AWD system can improve the acceleration to 6.6 seconds but it also increases the fuel consumption a little bit.
