Cupra has officially launched the Formentor in the UK and now the new car is available with a base price of $35,343 for the V1 trim. The Formentor is actually available in six trims called V1, V2, VZ1, VZ2, VZ3, and VZ Edition.
The base model comes standard with a 1.5-liter engine with 148 hp. Other engine options include the 2.0-liter TSI with 187 hp and the PHEV engine with two different output 201 and 242 hp. The plug-in hybrid model can travel up to 50 km using its electric motor. On the top of the range, there is a 2.0-liter TSI DSG 4Drive engine with 306 hp and 400 nm of torque.
Standard equipment for the base model Formentor includes 18-inch wheels, rear privacy glasses, LED exterior lights, front fog lamps with cornering function, 10.25-inch digital gauges, 12-inch infotainment system, rear diffuser with fake exhaust trim, front sports seats, three-zone climate control, and ambient lighting.
On the V2 variant, there are also 19-inch alloy wheels, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, leather interior, Cupra Logo on the headrests, heated steering wheel, reversing camera, and park assist.
On the VZ1 trim, there are real exhaust pipes, dynamic chassis control, sports suspension, several active and passive safety features, and different upholstery and for the VZ2 there are more safety gear, as well as the dedicated ‘Cupra’ mode button and paddle shifters behind the steering wheel.
Choosing the VZ3 trim will add Brembo brakes behind the copper and black 19-inch wheels while on the VZ Edition trim buyers will get new wheels and a panoramic sunroof.
