Setting itself apart from its counterparts, the Active Sport models showcase a revamped front bumper featuring faux vents flanking a central intake, reminiscent of the facelifted GR Yaris. Additionally, they boast side skirts adorned with the Active Sport emblem, complemented by piano black accents throughout the exterior, and ride on fresh 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black. The available color choices are limited to white, black, and various shades of gray, with the option to pair them with a black roof. Interestingly, the inclusion of the Active Sport badge on the rear is left to the buyer's discretion. These design tweaks collectively impart a sportier demeanor to the compact vehicle, distinct from the broader-bodied GR Corolla hot hatch flagship.
Despite the sporty façade, the performance of the Corolla Active Sport remains consistent with its standard counterparts, retaining the 1.8-liter hybrid powertrain in both 2WD and AWD (E-Four) variants. Notably, front-wheel-drive models benefit from a revamped suspension setup and optimized steering, enhancing the driving experience without altering performance metrics.
