The 2025 Audi Q5 and SQ5 Debut at Record Prices

Audi has unveiled the new-generation Q5 for the U.S. market, with the compact luxury crossover set to hit dealerships in May. The base model will start at $52,200 before a $1,295 destination fee, marking an increase of $6,800 from its predecessor, which was priced at $45,400. This 15% price jump places the Q5 above competitors like the BMW X3 and Mercedes GLC. However, Audi has not provided an explanation for this significant price hike. When inquired, a company spokesperson clarified that the increase was not due to tariffs and that the pricing would remain stable until at least the end of May. With potential tariff changes looming, especially considering the fluctuating political climate, the future of pricing remains uncertain. There are concerns that the Q5 may face up to three new tariffs, adding up to 52.5%, although Audi is actively evaluating the situation to maintain the most appealing pricing for customers.
