Ferraris are renowned for their exceptional engineering, and more often than not, when aftermarket tuners attempt to improve them, the results are disappointing, sometimes even diminishing the car's performance. However, Novitec has proven to be a rare exception. This tuner possesses the expertise to take an already extraordinary Ferrari and elevate it to new heights, as evidenced by their work on the SF90 XX.
Novitec's primary goal with the SF90 XX was to enhance the car's sound, ensuring that it lived up to the expectations of a hypercar, rather than sounding muted due to noise and emissions regulations. To achieve this, Novitec developed a new exhaust system for the 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, unlocking an additional 30 horsepower. The result is a staggering total output of 1,046 horsepower and 840 Nm of torque—figures that provide more than enough power to satisfy even the most demanding speed enthusiasts.
For those who prioritize weight reduction alongside sound performance, the new exhaust system is available in either stainless steel or Inconel, a high-performance material used in Formula 1. This not only allows the car to unleash a more thrilling sound but also helps shed some pounds, enhancing the overall driving experience. Importantly, Novitec has refrained from tampering with the SF90 XX's complex hybrid systems or electric motors, leaving these components untouched to preserve their original functionality.
Beyond the engine, Novitec has also focused on the Ferrari SF90 XX's design, making subtle yet significant changes. The most noticeable modification is the installation of new 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels, shod with 255/35 and 325/25 high-performance tires. These wheels are paired with new sports springs that lower the car's ride height by 25 mm (1 inch) at both the front and rear, giving the car a more aggressive stance and improving handling.
The final exterior enhancement is the addition of carbon fiber covers for the wing mirrors, which not only improve the car's aerodynamics but also add a sleek, high-performance touch. This particular SF90 XX is finished in a stunning shade of blue, and while it is a customer car, Novitec has not disclosed the cost of these upgrades. However, the tuner has made it clear that they are more than happy to customize the interior of any SF90 XX that enters their workshop, ensuring that the cabin matches the bold, dramatic exterior.
Through these modifications, Novitec has successfully enhanced an already exceptional Ferrari, making the SF90 XX even more thrilling and visually striking.
