New Engines Introduced for Opel Insignia In European Market

Opel introduced two new engines for the facelifted version of Opel Insignia for the 2020 model year in Europe.

Specifications

The first unit is a new 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine with 168 hp and 350 nm of torque this engine is available for both the 2020 Opel Insignia Grand Sport Liftback and 2020 Opel Insignia Sport Tourer wagon.

The new petrol engine is connected to a 9-speed automatic transmission enabling the Insignia to heat 100 km/h in 8.7 seconds and hit the top speed of 228 km/h the average fuel consumption is 6 to 6.4 l/100 km and the CO2 emission is between 145-150 g/km.

The other engine is a 2-liter four-cylinder diesel unit with 172 hp and 380 nm of torque. this engine is connected to an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive system.

Opel Insignia can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds with this engine and then can reach the top speed of 223 km/h the average feel consumption for the diesel model is 5.1 l/100 km and the CO2 emission is 135 g/km. Opel said that both new engines cover the Euro 6D emissions standard.

With the new engine the base price of Opel Insignia in Germany starts from $46,105 for the 2 l turbo petrol model and $49,200 for the 2 l diesel model with an AWD system.
