In the realm of electric sports cars in China, the MG Cyberster stands out as a compelling option, and now, the automaker introduces an exclusive variant – the Red Top Edition. Limited to just 100 units, this special edition pays homage to MG's rich heritage, drawing inspiration from classic models like the 1956 MGA, the 1967 MGB, and the iconic 1958 MG Magnette. Each Red Top Edition will be adorned in pearl white, reminiscent of its vintage predecessors, and feature a distinctive red folding top.

MG, once part of the original MG Rover Group that folded in the UK nearly two decades ago, has undergone a transformative journey. Celebrating its 100th anniversary, the company embraces nostalgia with the Cyberster Red Top Edition, a nod to its roots and the classic designs that contributed to its legacy.

The limited production of 100 units comes in three trim levels, offering buyers a range of choices priced between $45,100 to $50,700. Despite the exclusive design elements, the Red Top Edition seems to retain the mechanical specifications of the standard Cyberster.

At the entry level, there's a single-motor, rear-wheel-drive model generating 310 hp. This variant is available with either a 64 kWh battery or a larger 77 kWh battery, providing respective ranges of 501 km and 580 km. The allure of performance continues with the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive variant, boasting an impressive 536 hp and exclusively paired with the 77 kWh battery pack. Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, it offers a thrilling driving experience, albeit with a slightly reduced range of 520 km.

The positive reception of the MG Cyberster in China is evident, with approximately 300 units sold across the country in December alone. As anticipation builds, deliveries of the Red Top Edition are set to commence in March, adding a distinctive touch to the electric sports car landscape.
