Mercedes Unveils the CLE Cabriolet Pricing

Spring is on the horizon, and Mercedes is readying for its arrival by announcing the impending arrival of the CLE Cabriolet at U.S. dealerships, set to hit the market with a starting price of $64,350. This places it $7,850 above the CLE Coupe and $7,100 beyond the outgoing C-Class Convertible.

The entry-level C300 4Matic Cabriolet boasts a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, delivering 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Its mild-hybrid powertrain enables swift acceleration from 0 to 96 km/h in approximately 6.2 seconds, with an electronically limited top speed of 209 km/h.

For those craving more power, the CLE 450 4Matic Cabriolet, starting at $73,850, is equipped with a potent 3.0-liter inline-six engine churning out 375 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. This translates to a quicker 0-96 km/h time of around 4.2 seconds.

Crafted to offer a serene driving experience, the CLE Cabriolet features an acoustic soft top that effortlessly retracts or raises in just 20 seconds, even while cruising at speeds up to 60 km/h. To further enhance comfort with the top down, the model comes equipped with wind deflectors that deploy from the top of the windscreen and behind the rear seats.

Although specific equipment details were not disclosed by Mercedes, the CLE Cabriolet can be personalized with options such as the Night Package and various wheel sizes up to 20 inches. Enthusiasts can opt for the AMG Line package, which introduces a sportier front bumper, upgraded front brakes, and a dual exhaust system. Inside, the package treats drivers to a flat-bottom steering wheel, stainless steel pedals, and two-tone trim featuring high-gloss black and silver chrome accents.

Stepping into the cabin, occupants are greeted by a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and an 11.9-inch infotainment system oriented in portrait mode. Comfort features abound, including heated front seats equipped with an Airscarf neck-level heating system, a wireless smartphone charger, and a Burmester audio system.

For those seeking an extra touch of luxury, the Pinnacle trim offers an array of enhancements such as a head-up display, augmented reality navigation, and a 360° surround-view camera system. Safety is also a priority, with standard driver assistance systems including Active Brake Assist, Attention Assist, and Blind Spot Assist. The Driver Assistance Package introduces advanced features like Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop & Go Assist, Active Lane Change Assist, and Route-Based Speed Adaptation.
