Mazda introduced a limited version of its roadster sport car MX-5, called R-Sport. Production for this model is limited to 150 examples.
All models are equipped with a 1.5-liter SkyActive-G four-cylinder petrol engine. This naturally aspirated engine can produce 130 hp at 7000 rpm and 152 NM of torque at 4000 rpm. The engine is coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox as a standard that transfers engine power to the rear axle.
Mazda doesn’t mention any numbers and figures about acceleration, top speed or fuel economy but said that the MX-5 R-Sport is equipped with a i-Eloop kinetic recovery system and i-stop stop-start system as standard.
In term of design, it is easy to detect the R-Sport version by its different -inch alloy wheels and piano black mirror caps.
Inside the cabin, buyers get Nappa leather seats with silver stitching, sat-nav system, heated seats, automatic climate control, cruise control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Safety equipment to mention is Front Smart City Brake Support, Rear Smart Brake Support, Traffic Sign Recognition system, lane Departure Earning system, and Driver Attention Alert system.
