There is a new kind of award for the car with the best design. It is called Car of the Year Japan award. Mazda MX-30 was able to win the award with its beautiful and unique design.
The Mazda MX-30 is not a simple car. It is actually complicated design-wise. It is based on the “Human Modern” concept and has used a method to express Kodo, Soul of Motion design.
The appearance of Mazda MX-30 is really simple yet stylish. The cabin has a friendly design and creates a comfortable ambiance. The materials and unique creativity intend to create an open space. Mazda MX-30 was debuted on the same day of the company’s 100th anniversary. That means the model is really important to the car maker and it is built to convey a message.
Ikuo Maeda, managing executive officer in charge of Design and Brand Style says,
It's truly an honor to have the MX-30 receive this award as a token of high esteem for its design. I am truly grateful for all of those who have shown their support toward this model. In 2010, we started to apply Kodo design under the design philosophy of 'breathing life into cars.' As we strove to further mature Kodo design on its tenth year since birth, we were able to materialize its new directionality through the MX-30. Moving forward, we will continue to take pride in being a Japanese brand and remain committed to further improve Mazda's design
