Chery and Huawei are working together on the Luxeed initiative. Pre-sales of Huawei's and Chery's Luxeed S7 electric automobile began in China. In this collaborative effort, Chery is in charge of the development and manufacturing processes. Key components are supplied by Huawei. Huawei flagship stores in China will sell Luxeed models. The Luxeed S7 electric sedan is the vehicle from the first brand.
The Luxeed S7 has a wheelbase of 2950 mm and measures 4971/1963/1474 mm. The Chery-designed E0X architecture is used by the Luxeed S7. The Exeed Exlantix ES is built on the same platform.
The Luxeed S7's external design incorporates the Aito M9 SUV-inspired new design language. Its headlamps are narrow, joined by an LED strip. A LiDAR sensor is also mounted on the roof of the S7. Its roofline is slanted to minimize drag, and its door handles are retractable. The S7 features a single taillight unit visible from the back.
The Luxeed S7 sedan's interior features a tiny oval-shaped steering wheel emblazoned with the Luxeed emblem. Positioned behind the steering wheel is the gear changer. The instrument cluster on the car's center console measures 12.3 inches on LCD. Two 50-W wireless charging pads and a secret compartment are visible beneath the screen. Huawei's HarmonyOS 4 operating system powers its sizable floating touchscreen as well.
Touch bars are located on the rear door cards of the Luxeed S7. The back passengers can now modify the climate control thanks to them. A sizable touch screen is an additional choice for them. In addition, the Luxeed S7 features a 420-liter trunk and 25 storage compartments.
The base Luxeed S7 sports a single 292 horsepower electric motor located in the back axle. The two e-motors in the 4WD variant provide a combined power output of 496 horsepower. It takes 3.3 seconds to reach 100 km/h.
The CDC active damping system and air suspension are features of the S7. Its front axle is suspended by two wishbones. The rear axle houses the multi-link independent suspension. The battery capacity of the Luxeed S7 is unknown. We are aware that an LFP pack will be included with the entry-level model. The long-range model is equipped with a CATL M3P battery.
Orders for the Luxeed S7 electric car may be placed at a starting cost of 258,000 yuan, or $35,425 USD.
