The long wheelbase variant of the BMW X3 has been recently introduced in China. This particular version of the X3 will be available in two configurations: the 25L xDrive and the 30L xDrive. Both models will be produced at the Shenyang facility, which is part of the BMW Brilliance Automotive joint venture.
Under the hood, both models of the X3 produced in China are equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The X3 25L xDrive's engine delivers 190 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, while the engine in the X3 30L xDrive is more powerful, providing 258 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. Both variants are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and feature intelligent all-wheel drive for enhanced performance and handling.
In terms of design, the Chinese X3 closely mirrors the global version that made its debut in June. The vehicle maintains a sleek and unpretentious exterior, though it features a slightly extended wheelbase that is 110 mm longer than the standard model. The overall dimensions of this Chinese variant are 4,865 mm in length and 1,920 mm in width. The X3 25L xDrive comes equipped with the M Sport Package as standard, giving it a more dynamic and sporty look. All versions of this model include an illuminated kidney grille and offer a choice of six different paint colors, one of which is the distinctive Frozen finish.
Inside the cabin, the Chinese X3 is outfitted with the same modern features as the 2025 global X3. These include the large BMW Curved Display, a steering wheel with a flat bottom, and the BMW Interaction Bar integrated into the dashboard. Standard features in the cabin comprise 'Veganza' sports seats in three two-tone color options, wireless smartphone charging, and a panoramic glass roof, which comes with optional lighting.
