Audi Australia introduced pricing for its flagship sedan, the Audi S8. The S8 is a more sporty focused version of the Audi A8 luxury sedan. It uses a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine under the hood with 563 hp and 800 nm of torque. Power sent to the Quattro AWD system via 8-speed automatic conventional torque converter transmission.
The S8 can hit 100 kph in 3.8 seconds and reach the top speed of 250 kph, pretty good numbers for a 2230 kg full-size sedan.
Audi S8 also benefits a 48-volt mild hybrid system that helps it consume only 11.4 l/100km. Other highlights are active suspension, cylinder deactivation system, four-wheel steering and stop/start system.
Inside the cabin, S8 passengers can enjoy 730W Bang & Olufsen 3D premium sound system with 17-speakers, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, head-up display and Valcona leather.
On the safety side, the S8 comes standard with 360-degree cameras, Parking assist, traffic jam assist, adaptive cruise control, rear cross-traffic assist, lane-change warning and adjustable speed limiting.
