Haval, SUV arm for GreatWall revealed its latest SUV as a DaGou, which means Big Dog in Chinese. As it seems Haval chosen this name because of new SUV’s odd looking.
Haval DaGou is a boxy SUV, can be compared with LR defender or Toyota FJ Cruiser. Completing the boxy style are round headlights., a front skid plate under the bumper, tow hooks, black wheel arches and roof rack. Rims can be ordered in silver or black painting and they come with all-terrain tires.
About Haval DaGou’s size and dimensions, the SUV measures 4620 mm long, 1890 mm wide and 1780 mm tall. The wheelbase is 2738 mm and it has a ground clearance of 200 mm which sounds good.
Haval followed off-road oriented design inside the cabin as well. There are grab handles on the doors and dashboard and overall design looks like a proper off-roader.
Other highlights to mention are digital instrument cluster, large infotainment screen, wireless charger and electronic gear selector inspired from range rover products.
Buyers can choose between 1.5-liter and 2-liter engine. The 1.5-liter engine offers 168 hp and 285 NM of torque while the the later offers 221 hp and 385 NM of torque.
