Ford Mustang Mach E Prototype With 1400 Horsepower, Photos and Video

Recently, ford Mustang unveiled its Electronic Vehicle named Mach-E. this crossover is a radical re-imaging of the classic Mustang and a glimpse at Fords electric future. But it seems ford really liked the EV battle. This company has chosen the NASCAR to show it’s the very first Mustang Mach-E 1400 prototype. The batteries are designed to make this car so powerful and ready to do great drifts.

Recently, some people were disappointed that ford used the Mustang name on a long-range electric vehicle. Now by cooperating with Vaughn Gittin Jr., the wild horse of this car is reveled. With a smoky drift and crazy driving, this company tries to win its lovers heart back.

Powerful Electric Motor

It is maybe a wonder why Ford chose the 1400 after Mustang Mach-E. it is clear that this number is just like the electric Mustang Cobra Jet 1400. But its not the whole story. Mach-E 1400 has a 1400-hp power and this digit reflects it. This power comes from seven electric motors (don’t forget that Mach-E GT has just two motors) and a 59-kWh high-performance battery. 3 of these motors are connected to the front deferential while the other four ones are attached to the rare with single driveshaft. Ford Performance Motorsports director Mark Rushbrook said “the challenge was controlling the power from the seven motors”. Now this car just like Mach-E GT started its existence with a body in white.

To record the video for this car, Ford used a 2019 Ford mustang NASCAR, a 2020 Mustang Shelby GT350R, a 2020 Mustang RTR, and 1965 Mustang Hoonicorn RTR V2 along Mach-E. Vaughn Gittin Jr. drives the Mach-E and do the race, drifts and does donuts. Gittin is not just a stunt and motorsport driver, but also the founder of RTR. He really admires this car. as he said: “This experience is like nothing you've ever imagined, except for maybe a magnetic roller coaste”.

Ron Heiser, the chief program engineer for the Mustang Mach-E also expressed: “Mustang Mach-E is going to be fun to drive, just like every other Mustang before it, but Mustang Mach-E 1400 is completely insane, thanks to the efforts of Ford Performance and RTR”.

Other Efforts

Car designers changed the cooling ducts, front splitter, drive planes and also installed an amazing big wing on the back. They also used a composite fiber hood to the car, and also for many other pieces carbon fiber. Engineers played with chassis and powertrain layout to examine the effect of configuration on performance. Mach-E 1400 also is armed with Brembo brakes like to the ones used in Mustang GT4 race car. also, a hydraulic handbrake system for drifting give the possibility to shut off the rear motors.

In the end what is unclear is the time, when we could see this creature on the NASCAR. Ford didn’t choose any exact time to be present with its Mustang Mach-E on the show. But soon it will be clear.
