Ford has given its popular Maverick pickup truck a substantial upgrade for the 2025 model year. One of the most significant changes is the introduction of all-wheel drive for the hybrid powertrain, a feature that has been highly sought after by consumers. In addition to this, the vehicle boasts a refreshed exterior, a larger and more advanced infotainment system, and a revised lineup that includes a dedicated Tremor trim level.

The Maverick's appearance has been modernized with redesigned headlights, a new grille, and a modified front bumper. Ford offers the truck in four trim levels: the entry-level XL, the mid-range XLT, the upscale Lariat, and the off-road-focused Tremor, which was previously an optional package. Each trim level features distinct styling elements, such as the Lariat's 19-inch wheels or the Tremor's orange accents. To enhance the vehicle's appearance, customers can opt for a new Black Package that adds dark finishes to the grille, roof, emblems, and wheels.

Inside the cabin, the 2025 Maverick offers a more advanced and user-friendly experience. A larger 13.2-inch touchscreen replaces the previous 8-inch unit, providing a more expansive display for Ford's SYNC4 infotainment system. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility are now standard, and drivers will appreciate the new 8-inch digital instrument cluster. To complement the technological improvements, Ford has introduced a fresh color and material palette for the interior. The Maverick's signature 4.5-foot Flexbed remains unchanged, offering practical features like built-in storage compartments, dividers, a power outlet, and a versatile tailgate.

Under the hood, the standard powertrain is a 2.5-liter self-charging hybrid engine that produces 191 horsepower. Paired with a CVT transmission, it can be equipped with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. For those seeking more power, a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine generating 238 horsepower is available as an option. However, this engine is exclusively offered with all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Maverick's payload capacity varies depending on the configuration. The standard hybrid with rear-wheel drive can haul up to 1,500 pounds, while the all-wheel drive hybrid is rated at 1,400 pounds. The Tremor, designed for off-road adventures, has a maximum payload of 1,140 pounds. Towing capacity remains unchanged from the previous model at 2,000 pounds, but can be increased to 4,000 pounds with the optional 4K Tow Package.
