Ford Focus EcoBoost Hybrid Debuted

Ford Focus mild Hybrid officially debuted for Europe as a MHEV vehicle. The Focus MHEV shares its powertrain with Ford Puma and Fiesta.

The MHEV powertrain is a 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost Turbocharged engine with a belt-driven starter-generator. The starter-generator also supports a brake energy recovering function. Energy for the electric system supplied by a 48-volt lithium-ion battery pack, installed under the front passenger seat. This battery pack is air-cooled.

Ford Focus MHEV

The MHEV powertrain's combined power is 155 hp. Ford also mentioned the fuel consumption of 5.1 liter per 100 km and CO2 emission of 115 grams per kilometer. Buyers can also go for a 125 hp version if they don't want more power.

Ford Focus MHEV can be distinguished by its new 12.3-inch full-color digital instrument cluster. This multi-function display can show various information for driver.
