NCAP as an official safety tester closed the book of 2021 by revealing the safest Cars of the year. In this list, we can see there are the names of many companies with safety five stars. On the list is 33 new vehicles and also 22 of them were the best of bests with maximum rating.
As autoevoulution covers the news, six different categories were introduced. The one vehicle on the top was Mercedes-Benz EQS. This sedan without any doubt is the best. The other pretenders were Porsche Taycan, Audi e-Tron GT, and Tesla Model S. Mercedes won the prize of Executive and Pure Electric categories. Polestar 2 was the second candidate for this place.
Nissan Qashqai was the best “Small Off-Road”. this vehicle beat the VW ID.4. Nissan Qashqai always was the best. Along with the legendary safety of Nissan, it has many practical features too. The crown of forth category as Large Off-Road went to Skoda Enyaq iV electric crossover. Believe it? if you are shocked, just consider BMV iX stands in second place.
The other category was Small Family Car. again, Skoda showed here their worth. The new-generation of Skoda Fabio won the crown. Consider we are talking here about safety, not beauty! And the last category Small MPV. here stands Toyota Yaris proudly. Again, VW couldn’t get first place with Caddy.
The Euro NCAP’s Secretary General, Michiel van Ratingen, said, they are many models which are electric or hybrid. And many of them have 5 stars. In the tests, just safety was tested not the demands. He also added:
“Well done to the winners, as well as to the runners-up, some of which were very close contenders for the top slot in their respective categories.”
