With a price tag of $13.4 million dollars, the Bugatti La Voiture Noire is one of the most expensive automobiles in the world. The production version has now been revealed.
The Black Car took two years to construct and is a contemporary recreation of Jean Bugatti's lost Type 57 SC Atlantic. 65,000 engineering hours were committed to build the Chiron-based one-of-a-kind vehicle, which has totally customized bodywork and an expanded wheelbase. Yes, the six exhaust tips are still there and accounted for, dominating the car's massive back end. When compared to a "normal" Chiron, the wheelbase has extended by 250 millimeters, while the overall length has risen by 450 millimeters.
The one-of-a-kind LVN has a bespoke body with visible carbon fiber surfaces and a black carbon glossy clear coat.
Each of its headlamps has more than 25 separately machined parts. The front grille was 3D-printed, while the back ultra-wide LED light strip has a single-piece surround with no connections. Grain leather upholstery in Havana Brown is available, as are metal inlays on the center console and door cards.
Bugatti adds that the La Voiture Noire is more than simply a restyled Chiron, as significant alterations were made in addition to the expanded wheelbase. The LVN has different cooling and wheels, and the car's personality is more akin to a grand tourer. It was honed not just in the wind tunnel and test benches, but also on test tracks and proving grounds at varying speeds.
