BMW is starting to build a faster version of the M2 dubbed as the BMW M2 CS. BMW M2 CS unveiled in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show, last year. It uses a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-6 engine with 444 hp and 550 nm of torque.
Buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. Both transmissions send power to the rear wheels. As BMW mentioned the M2 CS manual can hit the 100 kph in 4.0 seconds and has the top speed of 280 kph. For the DCT version, the 0-100kph acceleration is 3.8 seconds.
Stopping power for the M2 CS comes from 6-piston calipers up front and 4-piston for the back. The brake rotor size is 400 mm front and 380 mm. Buyers also can go for the M Carbon Ceramic Brakes as an option.
BMW will build only 2,200 examples of the M2 CS so it is not cheap car at all. Each costs $83,600.
