One of the most successful cars of Hyundai is Hyundai Tucson. Now Hyundai Motor Group Head of Global Product Management Lorenz Glaab revealed that they are organizing the new Santa Cruz pickup on the same platform of new Tucson. By this news, KDesign AG draw a Truck which has similarities with Tucson. The rendering is very beautiful and worth the time to spend and take a look at it.

This new Truck in the front aspect of view is much like the sedan. Aggressive big grille, same lights in the grille and also the Sharpe edges gives this crossover a alien beauty. Also, the position of the light is some how that they emitted the light from the corners of the car.

KDesign also considered for Santa Cruz a mixture of sharp flanks and curved fenders. Also, this Truck obeys almost all features that is expected from a Pickup truck. The lights around the car is also noticeable. The taillight is provided by LED strips which goes between the tail and rear lamps.

There also some new spy shots of Santa Cruz by the motor one website. As it could be seen the headlight position are the same, but about the rear of the car, as it is covered, we can judge it. But maybe its has also some similarities with the new crossover too.

Engine? Unknown

As Hyundai Santa Cruz and Tucson are based on the same platform, maybe they also share the same power train too. The Tucson 2022 has a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder engine with about 190 horsepower (142 kilowatts) output and 182 pound-feet (260 Newton-meters) torque. The hybrid model is also available which has a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine producing an estimated 230 hp (172 kW) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque.

The launch of Santa Cruz production could be in 2021 in Alabama. So, the first cars of this truck would come to the market in 2022. As the first concept of this vehicle goes back to the 2015, it has been a long time we are waiting for it.
