American Market Expects The All-New Kia Rio With a Facelift

Months ago, Kia, one the most popular auto manufacturers introduced the facelifted version of an even more popular vehicle, the 2021 Kia Rio. Now the Korean company has revealed some details about the model which will be offered to the United States.

The American model is similar to the European one. The all-new Kia Rio comes with a modified grille, as it showcases a sportier front compared to the older model. The central intake is kind of mesh-like.

Inside the cabin, the touchscreen infotainment system has got larger than before and now is 8 inches. It is offered with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.

Price & Specs

Since every change comes with a price, the all-new Kia Rio has a $200 increase. Still, it is really cheap compared to other rivals. The Kia Rio LX offers air conditioning, power windows and locks along with a four-speaker audio system. The wheels are 15 inches and there is a 3.5-inch instrument cluster.

The price of Kia Rio S, the flagship starts from $16,690 and comes with features that the other trims lack, such as cruise control, keyless entry and a car alarm. At the rear end of the cabin, there is split-folding rear seat and rear USB charger. In the font, there is a center armrest.

There is a technology package which costs $1,800. If you are willing to buy it, it will add 15-inch alloy wheels, a push-button ignition and an automatic climate control system to your Rio S. It features other things such as LED headlights, the Sirius satellite radio system and a 4.2-inch instrument cluster, which larger than what the standard model offers.

This interesting kit, comes with safety features like Forward Collision Avoidance with Pedestrian Detection, Beam Assist and Rear Occupant Alert, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Following Assist, too.

All the Rio trims are equipped with 1.6-liter four-cylinder powertrain that generate 120 horsepower and 152 Nm of torque.
