Despite the marginal price hike, the latest iteration of the crossover boasts significant enhancements, notably featuring a fifth-generation hybrid system. This system incorporates more robust electric motors, resulting in an augmented power output of 196 horsepower, a notable increase of 15 horsepower from its precursor.

Further elevating its performance, the UX 300h has bid adieu to the nickel-metal hydride battery in favor of a new lithium-ion battery. Additionally, the crossover has embraced novel shift-by-wire technology, promising a swifter and more seamless shifting experience.

These upgrades manifest in the UX 300h's acceleration, which now clocks in at 8.0 seconds for the 0-96 km/h sprint, representing a 0.4-second improvement over its predecessor. Moreover, the model is projected to achieve a combined fuel economy rating of 43 mpg, one mpg higher than the UX 250h.

In terms of safety, Lexus has introduced the new Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 suite, replacing its predecessor with an array of advanced driver assistance systems. Notable features include All-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Tracing Assist, and a Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, complemented by Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist, and Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist.
