Kia debuted a significantly improved Seltos at the Los Angeles Auto Show. A new front bumper with larger intakes that now house vertical fog lights is visible. The 2024 Seltos looks far more refined than its predecessor, with a bold front fascia and a larger tiger nose grille that can be outfitted with available LED accents.
The most noticeable improvement is the addition of new taillights with bands that extend toward the center of the crossover. Customers can also choose the new X-Line trim, which includes a gunmetal grille, gloss black accents, a bridge-style roof rack, and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels.
The dashboard of the 2024 Seltos has been updated, and the instrument cluster has been upgraded with a larger 4.2-inch display. Moreover, there are a 10.25-inch infotainment system and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The controls on the center stack of the 2024 Seltos have been updated. Additionally, more luxurious features like a power liftgate and ventilated front seats are available to customers. Support for over-the-air updates and the availability of digital key technology are additional highlights.
A well-known 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 147 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque can be found under the hood. It is coupled to an optional all-wheel drive system through an Intelligent Variable Transmission.
The 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine has also been improved, gaining 20 horsepower to produce 195 hp. The current seven-speed dual-clutch transmission is also swapped out for a new eight-speed automatic transmission in turbocharged models, which should be more refined than its predecessor.
Numerous new and enhanced driver assistance systems have been developed to increase safety. One of them, which can automatically apply the brakes if a collision is about to occur, is Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian and Cyclist Detection. Blind Spot Collision Warning, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, and Intelligent Speed Limit Warning are additional recent updates.
