2024 Hyundai Sonata Revealed With Fresh Design

The entire 2024 Hyundai Sonata has been unveiled for the first time. Hyundai describes the mid-size car as "more than a mere facelift" of the eighth-generation vehicle even though full information hasn't yet been made public. The midsize sedan's wide LED light bar, similar to those on the Kona crossover, Staria minivan, and larger Grandeur sedan, is the most noticeable novelty at the front of the vehicle. The sporty-looking N Line and the regular variant may be seen in official photos.

The more desirable of the two receives unique 19-inch alloy wheels and a new design for the quad exhaust tips. The light signature of the taillights has also been changed by Hyundai, and they now have a flatter appearance because it no longer reaches the top of the trunk lid. The H badge has also been lowered significantly to sit below the light bar. Redesigned bumpers are added to both the normal and N Line versions, giving the back end a significantly more aggressive appearance.

The Sonata's cabin has also undergone a number of modifications. The 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch infotainment screen, both of which are housed within a panoramic curving display protruding out of the dashboard, are the most noticeable improvement.

The new Sonata details have not yet been released by Hyundai. Sources inform CarScoops that the turbocharged 1.6-liter engine supplied in some areas will be replaced by the 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine as the basic engine. The 2.5-liter engine in the outgoing Sonata N Line produces 290 horsepower and 421 Nm. A prototype with all-wheel drive was also reportedly spotted, marking a first for the Sonata.
