The Los Angeles Auto Show is now home to the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. The crossover, which is scheduled to arrive at dealerships in March, appears to have been created entirely using a ruler as angular accents and straight lines have replaced the vehicle's soft curves and flowing surfaces.

The model is distinguished by its angular fenders and H-shaped headlights. A distinctive C-pillar that has a self-concealing grab handle connecting them is meant to facilitate access to the roof rack. The crossover was also given wider liftgate, optional 21-inch wheels, and H-shaped taillights by designers.

The Santa Fe XRT is an option for buyers seeking something more rugged; it was shown off as a concept earlier this year. With its distinctive black accents and dark chrome flourishes, the model is meant to appeal to adventure-seeking enthusiasts.

The XRT model has about 38 mm more ground clearance, so the improvements go beyond appearances. Additionally, 18-inch wheels with 30-inch all-terrain tires will be available to buyers. With a wheelbase spanning 2,815 mm and a length of 4,830 mm, the 2024 Santa Fe is longer than its predecessor. These are 46 and 48 mm increases.

A feeling of quality and openness permeates the interior. Higher-end models clearly have the latter, and drivers will notice a panoramic curved display that combines a 12.3-inch infotainment system with a digital instrument cluster.

A UV-C sterilizing compartment, a digital rearview mirror, and digital key technology are additional options for this model. Additional features include power-reclining captain's chairs in the second row and a console that either the front or rear passengers can open. Highlights also include a dual wireless smartphone charger, a 12-speaker Bose premium audio system, and Relaxation Comfort seats with a leg rest.

In addition to some awesome new features, the Santa Fe boasts a second and third row that is more comfortable. There is now up to 36 mm more legroom in the second row, and 762 mm more space in the third row means that passengers can now have the best legroom in the class.

In terms of technology, the crossover is capable of being fitted with numerous driver assistance systems, such as Lane Following Assist, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Highway Driving Assist, and Smart Cruise Control. A Surround View Monitor, Remote Smart Parking Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Intelligent Speed Limit Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist are some of the additional systems. The Santa Fe will also be the first Hyundai in the United States to feature Forward Attention Warning. It monitors drivers and detects where they are looking using an infrared camera.

There is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine with 277 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque for performance. That is a significant upgrade over the previous 2.5-liter four-cylinder, naturally aspirated engine that produced 191 horsepower and 245 Nm of torque.

Customers seeking a more environmentally friendly option can choose the hybridized 1.6-liter four-cylinder turbo, which produces 367 Nm of torque and 232 horsepower when combined. That is marginally more than the 226 horsepower rating of the previous hybrid version.
