Volkswagen has unveiled the 2023 ID.4, which has a number of updates and is now built in the United States. The 2023 Volkswagen ID.4 debuts with improvements to all trim levels and a new base Standard grade.

For the 2023 model year, all ID.4 classes have somewhat changed exterior styling. The front bumper now has gloss black detailing on the exterior. Instead of the 10-inch screen from the previous base grade, the lineup's interior now features 12-inch infotainment screens. Bicycle recognition is added to the front collision warning system, and Park Assist Plus is included to the safety technology package.

The ID.4 Standard, a new entry-level model, is the most significant change. The crossover is expected to have a range of about 335 km thanks to its smaller 62 kWh battery pack and 201 horsepower rear-mounted electric motor.

After the $1,295 destination fee, the base model of the new ID.4 Standard costs $38,790, which is $3,735 less than the base model from the 2022 model year. The price is essentially reduced to $31,290, making the car significantly more cheap than competitors like the Ford Mustang Mach-E.

In addition to 19-inch wheels, the ID.4 Standard comes standard with LED headlights. Fabric is used for the inside upholstery, and the seat side bolsters have leatherette trim. Customers have the option of either Nutmeg with brown accents or Stone with black and gray trim. It boasts heated seats, dual-zone climate control, and a six-speaker stereo.

A leatherette-wrapped steering wheel, heated cloth/leatherette front seats, and an ambient lighting system with multiple colors are other highlights. A wireless smartphone charger, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, dual-zone climate control, and a KESSY keyless entry system are all included for buyers.

Also available now is the ID.4 S. The vehicle features 20-inch wheels, lighted VW emblems, and adaptable LED headlights. The seats have leatherette inserts with perforations. The front chairs include four-way lumbar massage and eight-way motorized adjustment. It has a heated steering wheel. Additionally, there is a power tailgate as well as a panoramic fixed glass roof with an electric sunshade.
