2023 Hyundai Verna Introduced With A Price Tag Of Only $13,000

The 2023 Verna's new generation was unveiled by Hyundai today in India. The tiny sedan's features, striking style, and greater size are all positive signs for the next Accent. The Accent in North America is known as the Verna in India. The sixth-generation small model has undergone a significant overhaul for 2023 and now sports what Hyundai refers to as its "Sensuous Sportiness" design character.

The new Verna is around 152 mm longer and 25 mm wider than the type it replaces, measuring 4,535 by 1,765 by 1,475 mm. As a result, it has additional interior space for people.

More importantly, the Verna features upscale leather upholstery, 64-color ambient lighting, a phone holder, optional heated and ventilated seats, a cooling glove box, and outstanding technology for its class, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen screen and a digital instrument cluster of the same size.

On the safety side, the 2023 Verna also has a variety of driver assistance systems, such as high beam assistance, lane keeping aid, blind spot recognition, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, and frontal collision warnings.

It comes with two engines under the hood, each with a 1.5-liter displacement and running on gasoline. The MPi engine produces 144 Nm of torque and 113 horsepower. It can be connected to a six-speed manual transmission or an intelligent variable transmission; the former gets 18.6 km/L while the latter gets 19.6 km/L.

Meanwhile, the GDi turbocharged engine produces 156 hp and 253 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, with the former returning 5.0 l/100km and the latter returning 4.8 l/100km.

The 2023 Hyundai Verna is available in four trim levels, with prices starting at $13,178 USD for the base model and $17,937 USD for the turbo model. Hyundai has already begun accepting orders for the new vehicle.
