Prior to a mid-life redesign due within the next 18 months, Porsche's popular big SUV gets a new feature-packed Platinum Edition edition.
A variety of model-specific Satin Platinum-painted design components are included in the bundle. This comprises the front fascia intakes, the back logotype, the model identifier, and other details.
The front air intake slats, 'PORSCHE' symbol within the tail-light bar, rear model identification badging, and 21-inch wheels are all finished in a new satin Platinum finish, with black sport exhaust tips and side window trim.
The vehicle rides on Satin Platinum RS Spyder Design wheels that are exclusive to this package. These wheels would set you back $3,830 if ordered as an option on a regular Cayenne.
Crayon seatbelts, brushed Aluminum sill plates with Platinum Edition insignia, a textured Aluminium interior package, and Silver trim components are among the design features on the inside.
A panoramic roof, Bose surround sound system, seven-color ambient interior lighting, 18-way motorized sports seats with memory, Porsche headrest embossing, and an analogue dashboard clock are included as standard equipment with the Platinum Editions.
Three Cayenne powertrains are offered in the Platinum Edition level. The 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine in the entry-level 'Cayenne Platinum Edition' cars produces 335 horsepower and 450Nm and is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.
The E-Hybrid adds an electric motor and a 17.9kWh battery to the 3.0-liter V6, resulting in 455 horsepower and 700Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Cayenne S is equipped with a 2.9-litre twin-turbo petrol V6, which produces 435 horsepower and 550 Nm through the eight-speed transmissions and all-wheel-drive systems found in the other Cayenne models.
The Crayon special color is available in White or Black solid colors, as well as Jet Black, Carrara White, Mahogany, or Moonlight Blue metallic colors.
Prices for the Platinum Edition start at $79,000 and are available on the Cayenne, Cayenne E-Hybrid, and Cayenne S. In comparison, the standard Cayenne costs $69,000.
The models are currently available for pre-order and will be delivered to dealers in the United States this summer.
