The Kia Niro 2022 has been teased ahead of its official unveiling on Thursday, November 25th, 2021. The SUV has been spotted testing on multiple occasions over the last year, with the earliest sightings occurring in December 2020.
The 2019 Habaniro concept vehicle inspired the second-generation Niro, featuring striking front and rear LED light signatures straight from Kia's show car. The narrow and vertically oriented taillights distinguish the back.
Similar to the Kia Sportage, the Niro gets a revised dashboard with a single panel merging the digital instrument cluster and the infotainment touchscreen.
It incorporates a two-spoke steering wheel, rotary gear selector, and touch-sensitive temperature controls, as well as two 12.3-inch displays incorporated into one curved screen.
The second-generation Kia Niro is planned to be available in both PHEV and EV configurations. The vehicle will most likely be based on an improved version of its predecessor's platform, with both electrified models having a longer electric range.
On Thursday, November 25, 2021, the 2022 Kia Niro will be unveiled in its entirety at the Seoul Mobility Show.
