2021 Lexus LC500 Convertible Will Come To The US From This Summer

Lexus will start selling the 2021 LC 500 Convertible from this summer in the U.S market. The model unveiled at the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show as a soft-top version of the Lexus LC coupe. Lexus LC 500 Convertible is a rear-wheel-drive sport convertible with a new suspension system to improve its stability and handling. Lexus also refined the chassis with high-tensile-strength steel in the structure.

The LC 500 comes standard with 20-inch or 21-inch forged alloy wheels with run-flat tires in order to eliminate the spare tire. The elimination of the spare tire helped engineers to save more weight.

The soft-top uses an electric mechanism and can open the roof in 15 seconds and close it in 16 seconds. The driver can open and close the roof up to the speed of 50 kph. Buyers can order the roof in black, red, and sand.

Lexus LC500 Performance

Under the hood, there is a naturally aspirated 5.0-liter V8 with 471 hp and 539 NM of torque. Power sent to rear wheels with a 10-speed automatic transmission. The LC 500 Convertible can run from 0 to 100 to 4.6 seconds and can reach the top speed of 270 kph.

Inside the cabin, there is a new 10.3-inch screen with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay. Other highlights are Lexus Safety System+, heated and ventilated seats, and digital instrument clusters.

The LC 500 Convertible will go on sale with a base price of $101,000 in the United States.
