Lexus introduced some updates for the 2021 Lexus ES sedan. Lexus introduced changes for the Japans domestic market as the ES is only available in the Lexus ES 300h Hybrid version in Japan.
While the hybrid powertrain uses to have a nickel-hydrogen battery, the 2021 model will have a new lithium-ion battery in order to have more fuel efficiency.
The hybrid powertrain is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 176 hp and 202 nm of torque. With the help of lithium-ion battery, the ES 300h consumes only 4.4 l/100km compared to the previous models 4.8 l/100km fuel consumption.
Other new options for the ES are rearview cameras, digital mirrors, Parking Support Brake, Blind Spot Monitoring System, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and wireless smartphone charging pad.
Prices for the 2021 Lexus ES 300h starts from $56,800 in Japan.
