Kia announced the pricing of its new midsize sedan K5 which is considered as a next-generation for outgoing Optima. Kia K5 debuted about a month ago and its pricing starts at $23,490.
For comparison, the base price of 2021 K5 is only $100 more than 2020 Kia Optima. Even Though the K5 is more expensive than the Optima but it still offers better pricing than rivals like Honda Accord and Toyota Camry by some hundred dollars. The base model K5 uses a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 180 hp and 264 NM of torque. Aluminum Wheels, an 8-inch infotainment touch screen, and a couple of active safety systems can be found on the K5 base model.
Buyers who want more power can go for the GT model with the 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 290 hp and 422 NM of torque. The K5 GT benefits an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission by Kia. the base price for K5 GT starts from $31,455 and by ticking options, it can easily reach $36k.
