Audi revealed 2021 e-tron S and e-tron Sportback electric cars. The S models which are basically built on standard e-tron Sportback is the first mass-production vehicle with 3 electric motors. Two of those electric motors are connected to rear wheels while the last one is driving front wheels.
Under the hood, Audi e-tron has the combined power of 496 hp and 973 NM of torque. The only available transmission for e-tron models is the 8-speed automatic transmission. The car needs to hit in hit 100 kph in as short as 4.5 seconds and can accelerate to 209 km.
The energy supplied by a 95kWh battery pack which is enough to travel 359 km on the S model and 636 km on the e-tron Sportback. The Audi e-tron S uses only the rear electric motors in normal driving but the front motor engages as the system detects loss of traction.
Other highlights for S models are adaptive air suspension, standard 21-inch wheels as standard, 22-inches wheels as an option, larger brake discs with six-piston caliper upfront.
Inside, new changes are Nappa leather for seats, aluminum and carbon fiber inserts through the cabin, MMI touch screen, head-up display and navigation system.
The price for Audi e-tron S starts from $87k and $109,870 for the S Sportback model.
