Skoda introduced a new mild-hybrid for its popular compact sedan the Skoda Octavia and it will launch in Europe as the Octavia e-Tec. The Octavia e-Tec will use a small three-cylinder turbocharged 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine with 108 hp and 7-speed DCT transmission.
The petrol engine uses a 48-volt electric system and lithium-ion battery and is connected to a belt starter-alternator which supports the energy recovery function as well.
Buyers also can go for the iV PHEV model that uses a 1.4-liter TSI engine and an electric motor with a total output of 242 hp and 400 nm of torque.
Skoda Octavia is available with options like 16-inch alloy wheels, 10-inch touchscreen, front and rear parking sensors, manoeuvre assist, chrome window surrounds, microsuede upholstery, heated front seats and LED ambient lighting.
Pricing for the Skoda Octavia e-Tec starts from $29,769.
