Land Rover will make more 2023 Discovery. That means this truck will have some new trim levels, which one of them is the range-topping Metropolitan Edition. This edition is about better look, more technology and several options for the buyers, except engine.
The Metropolitan Edition is one of the familiar names of Discovery. It has the R-Dynamic HSE trim level. Its just one of the trims. The new grille is also significant, don’t miss Discovery badge too. The lower bumper has Hakuba Solver too. The 22-inch wheels are under the car with black brake calipers.
Inside the car has new touches too. As standard option inside, the head-up display, heated steering wheel, front cooler compartment, and four-zone climate control are available. Even the third-row seat is heated.
The only option for the engine is a 3.0-liter turbocharged inline-six. It has the support of 48-volt mild-hybrid technology. The total output is 355 hp and delivers 500 Nm of torque through the eight-speed automatic gearbox to the wheels. The towing capacity is 3,719 Kg.
This edition is not the only Discovery which has new updates. Others also have some new features too. As we can say, every one of them are equipped with wireless device charging, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, a Meridian stereo, and three-zone climate control are now standard. The R-Dynamic trim has one more additional one which is a gloss black roof.
Even the model of 2021 can have some refreshments. its still the old vehicle but the big change is a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder making 296 hp (221 kW) as the base engine. We can’t miss the new mild-hybrid, turbo inline-six too.
More other tech option for the new models of 2023 Discoveries is Pivi Pro infotainment system. It has an 11.4-inch screen with optional 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. Also, it supports the over-the-air software updates.
More facilities, means more money. Now for the new models of 2023 Discovery you should pay more. The base model costs now $56,600, whereas the model of 2022 was $53,900.
