Morgan Plus Four LM62 In Honor Of Le Mans Champion

Author: |

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1962, a Morgan Plus 4 SuperSports won the 2.0-liter class. The firm is commemorating its 60th anniversary with a limited edition Plus Four LM62.

The unique edition, which is limited to 62 units worldwide, is inspired by the winning racing vehicle and includes a Jet Green or Tertre Rouge exterior inspired by the racer's dark green. An LM62 graphics pack is also included, which contains LM62 badging and white roundels with "29" numbering.

Silver-painted wire wheels, a domed back panel, and a Le Mans-style gasoline filling cap complete the look. Body-colored A-pillars, auxiliary lighting, and an active sports exhaust system with black tailpipes are among the other highlights.

Drivers will discover a personally numbered plaque, laser-engraved black leather doorknobs, and embroidered headrests among the interior improvements. A painted steering wheel center cap, Tawny wood trim, and "bespoke satin lacquer rubber mats with black vinyl edging" are among the other attractions. Heated Comfort Plus seats with horizontal pleating and perforated centers are also available.

Morgan has included a Heritage White hardtop, which is available on the Plus Four for the first time. A soft top and a "LM62-specific photographic build record" are among the choices available to customers.

The BMW-sourced turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine is expected to carry over and produce up to 255 horsepower and 400 Nm of torque. It allows the automatic-equipped vehicle to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds and reach a peak speed of 240 km/h.

The vehicle will be available in both right- and left-hand drive, with either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission.

The Plus Four LM62 is now available for purchase. In the United Kingdom, the price starts at £78,995.
