At the 2025 Guangzhou Auto Show, Exeed — the premium division under Chery — unveiled a significant new addition to its lineup: the Exeed Exlantix ES7 GT. This model marks the brand’s first electric vehicle built with a wagon-style body, entering the market as a mid-to-large shooting brake with a strong focus on long-distance capability and cutting-edge electrification. Unlike standard battery-electric vehicles, the ES7 GT employs a sophisticated range-extended setup paired with a trio of electric motors. According to figures shared by Auto-home, the vehicle is capable of delivering an impressive driving range exceeding 1,700 kilometers under China’s CLTC testing standard. It also supports an 1,000-volt ultra-fast charging architecture, allowing drivers to recover roughly 450 kilometers of range in just five minutes, highlighting its emphasis on practicality and rapid replenishment.
The exterior styling adopts Exeed’s newest design philosophy, giving the ES7 GT a futuristic and streamlined appearance. Its front end features a sealed grille treatment typical of modern EVs, with a full-width daytime running light bar seamlessly integrated into the main headlight assemblies. Vertical air channels are sculpted into the front bumper, while half-ring LED elements accentuate the heat-dissipation openings, creating a distinctive technical look. Moving along the sides, the model displays gently broadened wheel arches that house 21-inch semi-closed five-spoke wheels, paired with flush-fitting door handles that enhance both aerodynamics and aesthetics. The rear design continues the sporty wagon theme, with a sloping D-pillar leading into a roof-mounted spoiler. A single, continuous taillight strip spans the entire width of the vehicle, and the lower bumper is finished with a contrasting diffuser-style element for added visual impact.
Inside, the cabin adopts a performance-oriented yet premium atmosphere. Newly released details reveal leather surfaces enhanced with decorative stitching, red accent lines, and faux carbon-fiber trim pieces. The front row features racing-inspired bucket seats, while the rear accommodates passengers with a conventional bench layout. In terms of technology and safety features, the ES7 GT comes equipped with 27 sensors in total — including lidar positioned on the roof and cameras mounted on the fenders. These support the brand’s “Falcon 700” advanced driver-assistance suite, which operates on the “Journey 6P” computing platform offering up to 5,600 TPS of processing capabilities.
The infotainment environment is centered around a large 15.6-inch touchscreen, supplemented by a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger and a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel for the driver. The system runs on the 8295P chip and includes wireless Apple CarPlay compatibility along with a 50-watt wireless charging pad. Performance-wise, the ES7 GT is designed for high acceleration, reportedly reaching 0–100 km/h in under three seconds. Its combination of a three-motor electric layout and the range-extender system supports the model’s exceptional long-distance range. The chassis features independent suspension at both the front and rear for improved handling and comfort.
The Exeed Exlantix ES7 GT also stands out as the first wagon-style model in the Exlantix ES family, bringing a new body configuration to the series while integrating Exeed’s most recent EV technologies. Details regarding pricing or availability beyond the Chinese market have yet to be officially announced.
