The 2023 Nissan Z made its debut a few weeks ago. The Z Proto raised expectations, and the finished model looks to have exceeded them. Even though the underpinnings are carried over from the existing 370Z with changes, it features a sleek external style, a new powertrain, and a reworked interior. Nissan Z Chief Engineer Hiroshi Tamura described the car as a "dancing partner" in a new interview with Road and Track. Under the hood, the new Z boasts much more power than the previous model. The engine is a twin-turbo 3.0-liter V6 with 400 horsepower and 475 Nm of torque.
Tamura stated that the most essential aspect of driving the new Z is having a "dialogue with the automobile." If you're searching for a pure numbers machine, you should seek elsewhere.
Nissan worked hard to enhance the car's foundations and its handling. The car's structural stiffness was improved, the suspension was adjusted, and electronic power steering was installed. A six-speed manual transmission comes standard, which will undoubtedly stimulate dialogue between the driver and the vehicle. Optional features include a nine-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The carmaker hasn't stated when it'll be on sale, but given that it's a 2023 model-year vehicle, it'll most likely come next summer.
