The 2011 Kia Ray was released, and in 2017 it underwent a minor facelift. The revised Ray for the 2023 model year has just received its first set of official photographs, according to Kia.

The exterior will undergo revisions for the 2023 MY. The revamped front end is the focal point, with vertically positioned LED headlights around the new KIA badge in a totally covered grille. With a single opening and a skidplate in the style of aluminum, the front bumper adopts a simpler appearance.

There are only a few tweaks in the back, including new LED taillights. Along with a diffuser-style element and smaller reflectors, the back bumper is also more contemporary.

The digital instrument cluster is the only internal feature that distinguishes the new Ray from its predecessor. The darker trim is also used, but the remainder of the dashboard seems to be the same.

The city car's chassis is shared by a number of Hyundai-Kia models, including the Kia Picanto and the Hyundai i10.

The revised model is not described in the preview in any detail. Both the Ray's ICE-powered and EV versions should be kept by Kia. The 1.0-liter MPI engine of the current ICE-powered variant is paired to a four-speed automatic transmission. Kia's first production electric vehicle, the Ray, has a single electric motor that generates 67 horsepower and a 16.4 kWh lithium-ion battery that provides 138 km of range.
