2022 Mazda3 To Gain Some Updates

Mazda has decided to give the 2022 Mazda 3 model some updates and a new trim called Carbon Edition. The Mazda3 2.5 S Carbon Edition, which is available as a sedan and hatchback, sits in the center of the lineup and includes a Polymetal Gray exterior with gloss black mirrors and black 18-inch alloy wheels.

Additional features include red leather seats and a 12-speaker Bose audio system with metal grilles within the interior. The remainder of the features, including a power sunroof, power driver's seat, and heated front seats, are carried over from the 2.5 S Preferred. A dual-zone automatic temperature control system, a passive entry system, rain-sensing wipers, and an infotainment system with an 8.8-inch display are among the other features.

Under the hood, there's a 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine with 186 horsepower and 252 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a six-speed automatic transmission that drives the front wheels.

The remainder of the Mazda3 range is mostly unchanged. A small number of variations, however, may be ordered with a new Platinum Quartz Metallic paint job.

For the 2022 model year, the entry-level Mazda3 2.0 now starts at $20,800, which is $150 higher than the previous year. Unfortunately, some models in the range have seen larger price hikes, with the 2022 Mazda3 2.5 Turbo sedan jumping $500 to $30,550. The 2022 Mazda3 2.5 S Carbon Edition hatchback begins at $26,400 and goes up to $27,400.
