GM has allegedly slashed orders for the 2021 Corvette C8 earlier than projected in order to make room for the 2022 model year. The carmaker has already posted a teaser website for the first mid-engine Corvette's third manufacturing year.
More photographs of the three new hues introduced to the Corvette C8 palette can be found on the teaser website.
In the color lineup, Amplify Orange will replace Sebring Orange, while Hypersonic Gray Metallic will replace Shadow Gray Metallic. Caffeine, on the other hand, will replace the old Zeus Bronze Metallic for that brown color.
The Corvette Stingray IMSA GTLM Championship Edition, which is limited to 1,000 left-hand-drive cars and will cost $87,085 for the coupe and $94,085 for the convertible, is another addition to the 2022 range.
The new teaser page also confirms the presence of a low-key spoiler option, which we first reported about in April. According to prior reports, it will be available for the 2022 Corvette Stingray with or without the Z51 Performance Package and may feature a front splitter.
